Dr. Marr came to Presbyterian College in 2013 with twenty years in academia, ten of those years having been also in pastoral ministry. She held a position in History and Women’s Studies at Augustana University College, in Alberta from 1992-2001, and has taught since 2003 for McGill University’s School of Religion. In 2001, she was called to the Mennonite Fellowship of Montreal where she served as pastor until 2011.
As a scholar, professor and pastor, Dr. Marr brings a rich background to her role at The Presbyterian College as Chaplain and Academic Dean. With her on-going research and teaching in Church History and Women’s Studies, and her background in the Mennonite tradition, Dr. Marr adds breadth to the diverse life of the College.
Continuing to publish and teach in the areas of Church History and women’s religious experience as an Adjunct Professor at McGill, she is well placed to guide students in their academic work. With her experience in ministry, she ably oversees the worship and community life of the College.
