Rev. Dr. Lucille Marr

Chaplain and Scholar in Residence (honorary)

Dr. Marr came to Presbyterian College in 2013 with twenty years in academia, ten of those years having been also in pastoral ministry. She held a position in History and Women’s Studies at Augustana University College, in Alberta from 1992-2001, and from 2003 taught for more than a decade in McGill University’s School of Religion. In 2001, she was called to the Mennonite Fellowship of Montreal where she served as pastor until 2011. 

Biography

As a scholar, professor and pastor, Dr. Marr brings a rich background to her role at The Presbyterian College as Chaplain and Academic Dean. With her on-going research and teaching in Church History and Women’s Studies, and her background in the Mennonite tradition, Dr. Marr adds breadth to the diverse life of the College.

Continuing to publish and research in the areas of Church History and women’s religious experience, she is recognized as a Scholar in Residence at the College. With her experience in ministry, she ably oversees the worship and community life of the College.
